Pryce - 8 Months

January 2010 has been quite the month for Pryce. We're treating his second ear infection of the month. He's aqcuiring a taste for Amoxycillin. This time we find out that Publix gives this (and probably others) medication out for free, so that's a bonus! Last weekend, he fought taking his afternoon nap in his crib, so we put him in our bed (with pillows on the sides). He managed, somehow, to roll off the bed. Luke and I hear a loud thud and then rush in to find him wailing on the floor on his tummy just looking at us like his heart was broken. He came away with just a little red mark on his nose that went away within the day. Scared Luke and me to death, but I guess that's just the first of little accidents we'll experience along the way. Pryce's first tooth came in earlier that week, and he's been making the funniest faces (sucking on his lips in different ways...we figure to feel that tooth). Pryce is still trying to figure out how to crawl, but pulls up onto his feet so well! He is a master bouncer (LOVES his activity jumper), but we're soon going to have to invest in a new one since he's on the cusp of reaching the max weight limit (25 lbs) and has already worn the seam on the seat of it. We also have had to purchase a new bouncy seat since his rear was grazing the ground in the old one. This new rocker (similar to the bouncy) is a God-send! Pryce has also grown to love his bathtime so much! He enjoys playing with his squirt toys and the water. I think he looks forward to it. Moe has been quite the entertainment for Pryce lately. Luke will get Moe barking, and Pryce gets so tickled at him. He can hardly stand himself, he giggles so hard. Most recently, we have enrolled Pryce in daycare to begin in late April/early May. Tree of Knowledge is the place, and we just know Pryce will do so well there! It's going to be hard not to be with his 'Grams' every day, but it will be good for him to get some interaction with some other little ones his age (we don't want him to become the biter or the little kid that won't share).

  1. Laura, Pryce is so precious! He looks so happy and healthy. I wish we could have shared these moments with Anna (she weighed 20 lbs. at 24 months!). I know you are enjoying him so much!

  2. I love this recent post! Pryce is so precious, I just want to kiss his chubby little cheeks! And they boys will have so much fun together so we really do have to get together soon.
