First Haircut!

Luke and I have debated when we should cut Pryce's hair for a while now. We've loved his curls, but lately the back of his hair has gotten a little out of control, and the front gets in his eyes pretty often. So, we ventured to Pigtails & Crewcuts in Buckhead last Saturday for Pryce's first haircut! It's such a fun little place with the fun chairs for kids (Pryce's was a little firetruck), several playrooms, and Disney movies playing at every station. He did absolutely great while the nice lady cut his hair...keeping him still was our only real issue, but I don't think he even realized what was happening until the lady worked on the front of his hair. Another big first is checked off the list....time is going by entirely too fast!!

The Allens Come to Visit!

We were so excited to have the Allens come visit this past weekend! Friendships like ours are just so rare, and we feel so blessed that our friendship just continues to grow, regardless of time or distance! To top it off, Pryce and Parker are only months apart, and are now at the age that they are into everything together! We put the boys in the tub together, which was adorable. On Saturday, we took them to the Tennessee Aquarium, and they had a blast! Pryce was amazed at everything around him, and Parker was just ready to tear off down the walkway! They played so hard and we were just exhausted when we left! Our big aquarium adventure took more energy than we had anticipated, and we crashed when we came in. It was a great weekend, and we can't wait to visit with the Allens again soon!!!!

What's in a Word?

No new pictures lately, but Pryce has been quite the busy toddler lately, so this post is just to update on the things he's been doing. Pryce has figured out the latches on the cabinets (which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that Luke put some of them on upside down), so we're constantly surprised at the things we find when open one. Pryce is often reorganizing the cups in the cabinet, and putting things in the trashcan (we're bound to throw something important away).

Pryce's teachers tell us he's doing great with sign language. They asked if he was practicing at home, and when I told them I wouldn't know what to look for, they gave me a pamphlet on the different signs they learn in class. I've concluded that what I thought was clapping and 'Momma' is likely the sign for 'More' (which makes total sense now). At any rate, Luke and I are so proud of all the words he knows (even if we're being terribly liberal with his pronunciations)....'Hello', 'Bye Bye' (with waving), 'DaDa', 'More', 'Uh-Oh', 'Moe Moe' (the dog, which he LOVES to help his Daddy take out with the leash every day). 'Nah Nah' is apparently what he says when he's referring to his pacifier (not sure where that came from).

Pryce also LOVES music! His teacher told us that Pryce tugged on her shirt the other day and motioned for her to come over to turn on the CD player in their class. He loves to dance (to Backyardigans, Yo Gabba Gabba, any music really), and it's hysterical! We sing in the bathtub, and he loves to make his Rubber Ducky dance along. He's also learning the Itsy Bitsy Spider (although he hasn't gotten ALL the moves down pat yet).

Just a proud little mommy that wants to remember this fun and amazing time in Pryce's life....our cup just keeps running over, and we're so blessed to watch this little joy grow and grow!
