Merry Christmas 2010!

Pryce was so busy on Christmas Eve -- his mommy helped him bake some cookies for Santa, he helped his daddy wrap some gifts (enough to wear anyone out). It was such an exciting time! Unfortunately, the stomach bug hit our house last week (Luke had it on Monday, and I had it on Christmas Eve). I was so worried Pryce would get it (so far, so good)! Actually, I woke up at 6:00 and managed to get ready before anyone else was awake...Luke and Pryce woke up a little after 7:00 (which is late for Pryce). Pryce woke up Christmas morning to lots of fun gifts from Santa! Uncle Dan, Aunt Cathy, and Danny sent us a Pillow Pet dog that is adorable! The first thing Pryce saw was his Tot Rod (complete with Toy Story stickers), and we spent 20 minutes trying to get him off the car and back to opening presents. It was great to see his face at all of the gifts! We also had a couple of inches of snow this morning! It was beautiful -- I messed it up trying to teach Pryce how to make a snow angel (which he had absolutely no interest in). I'm thankful for so many things...for a wonderful family to share in this time, the great memories we've made and will continue to make, and the birthday we celebrate every December 25th! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Lights!

A quick internet search led us to some great Christmas lights in Ringgold, GA! Pryce loved the outdoor display, and put on a show dancing for the Grinch that sang songs! Definitely a sight to see! This holiday season has been so much fun, and we can't wait to experience Christmas morning with Pryce!

Gearing up for the Holidays!

Clip Clop the Wonder Horse is a new favorite at our house! Luke and Pryce worked hard getting him back in working order, and Pryce has loved riding him as he watches tv! I also threw in a couple pictures of our Christmas decorations. Pryce is in awe of it all, and is constantly interested in trying to sneak to touch the tree (and knock the ornaments off)! We're going to have fun this Christmas!!!

November 2010

Pryce's personality has always surfaced, but it's really blossomed over the last couple of months. He absolutely loves trains right now (althought Thomas the Train show is still boring to him), and is quick to yell 'TOOT TOOT' at the top of his lungs (while pulling his arm down like he's sounding the horn). His vocabulary has really picked up lately too (thank you, daycare, for helping us lessen our dependence on the pacifier). Right now, Pryce will say 'UP' (which doubles for up and for open), 'MOOOOO' (which is the sound the cow makes, sometimes confused with 'MOON'), 'MOOO...COW', 'HORSIE' (thanks to Luke for refurbishing the Clippity Clop horse), 'BYE BYE', 'HI THERE', 'PRETTY' (in reference to the Christmas tree), and 'SNACK', 'MORE', 'PLEASE', 'THANK YOU', 'EAT', 'PLANE', and lots of gibberish that we haven't yet been able to translate. Luke and I continue to be amazed at how much Pryce loves to dance! He constantly breaks it down (especially to bluegrass music and good ole blues (thank you Old Crow Medicine Show and Otis Redding). He sings Itsy Bitsy Spider and If You're Happy and You Know It!

We're also experiencing some wild fits when Pryce doesn't get his way. His Elf on the Shelf has recently arrived at our house, and he wakes up to find the elf each morning (another word he's working on).

Tonight we went to Champy's Chicken (where he put on a show as well as threw some huge fits) for dinner, then downtown to view the EPB windows, and then visited the Choo Choo to see the Christmas decorations.

We're thankful for the joy he brings to our world!

Pryce's 2nd Halloween!

Our first trick-or-treating experience was great! I think I speak for most parents when I say it doesn't take much to make me so proud, and this Halloween was no exception. Pryce struggled with keeping the headpiece of his costume on until his party at daycare when he negotiated with his teacher and kept his headpiece on to play with her camera in return. Luckily, an old camera from my mom did the same thing on Halloween. We went to several homes in our neighborhood, and came back with lots of candy! Pryce made us so proud -- he would blow kisses as we left most of the houses! Here are some pictures of our precious little puppy!

Stitches Already?

Luke and I arrived at daycare yesterday after work to a little surprise. We had just decided on our way that we would spend the evening at the park with Pryce. Unfortunately, we got to daycare to find Pryce had just fallen and hit his head on the corner of the shelf in his classroom. Poor thing hit right in the middle of his forehead! Several of the teachers and directors were already doting over him, and he milked it pretty good --- got extra graham crackers. We called the pediatrician, and then headed to TC Thompson's to get it checked out. They said it was a clean cut, but probably wouldn't come together as well with glue. He has four little stitches, poor thing. We're praying the scar is miniscule, and are thankful he didn't have a concussion or anything more serious! Not the day we expected, but are glad Pryce is doing okay!

Pumpkin Patch

We ventured down to Georgia with the Stetzlers for a fun day at the pumpkin patch (Burt's Farm in Dawsonville, GA)! It was a beautiful day to be outside (slightly hot, but still nice), and nice to take a long drive (almost 2 hours). Pryce had a blast...there was music playing, and he spent most of his time dancing. He did, however, manage to squeeze in some time to pick out a pumpkin. We got a wheelbarrow to transport our pumpkins to the car, and it ended up more convenient than we realized. Pryce ate his lunch (chips and popcorn) in it. Poor Abbie was sick, and was such a little trooper to make the ride. The dads took the kids back after the pumpkin patch, and Courtney and I rounded out the day at the outlet mall (perfect way to spend the afternoon)! It was a great day -- and even better that we have Monday off (thank you, Christopher Columbus)!!!!
