No new pictures lately, but Pryce has been quite the busy toddler lately, so this post is just to update on the things he's been doing. Pryce has figured out the latches on the cabinets (which I'm sure has nothing to do with the fact that Luke put some of them on upside down), so we're constantly surprised at the things we find when open one. Pryce is often reorganizing the cups in the cabinet, and putting things in the trashcan (we're bound to throw something important away).
Pryce's teachers tell us he's doing great with sign language. They asked if he was practicing at home, and when I told them I wouldn't know what to look for, they gave me a pamphlet on the different signs they learn in class. I've concluded that what I thought was clapping and 'Momma' is likely the sign for 'More' (which makes total sense now). At any rate, Luke and I are so proud of all the words he knows (even if we're being terribly liberal with his pronunciations)....'Hello', 'Bye Bye' (with waving), 'DaDa', 'More', 'Uh-Oh', 'Moe Moe' (the dog, which he LOVES to help his Daddy take out with the leash every day). 'Nah Nah' is apparently what he says when he's referring to his pacifier (not sure where that came from).
Pryce also LOVES music! His teacher told us that Pryce tugged on her shirt the other day and motioned for her to come over to turn on the CD player in their class. He loves to dance (to Backyardigans, Yo Gabba Gabba, any music really), and it's hysterical! We sing in the bathtub, and he loves to make his Rubber Ducky dance along. He's also learning the Itsy Bitsy Spider (although he hasn't gotten ALL the moves down pat yet).
Just a proud little mommy that wants to remember this fun and amazing time in Pryce's life....our cup just keeps running over, and we're so blessed to watch this little joy grow and grow!

Pryce's 1 Year Pictures
Nothing like a little procrastination for Pryce's photo sessions....I've yet to schedule one of these far enough in advance. Hence, what should've been Pryce's 12 month pictures were done around the 14 month mark (only a couple months late). Matt Dunmore was out to our home for a 6 month pictures session, and we knew we'd come across something special. He takes the most amazing shots, and is such a pleasure to work with! Here is a link to the pictures he took....how will we ever choose?

Vacation 2010 Part II - Charleston
Here are more pictures from our vacation. On Tuesday, we strolled downtown. That afternoon, Pryce got an ear infection, so we called in to the doctor's office & got some antibiotic called in. That night, Luke was giving Pryce some milk before bed, and he ralphed EVERYWHERE! That was quite the experience...cleaning up throw up in a hotel room!! We were back on the beach on Wednesday, and had lots of fun! We strolled on the Battery on Wednesday evening, our last night. It's always amazing to me how long I look forward to family vacation, and then how quickly it goes by and I'm already back at home! We feel blessed to be able to go on a family vacation, and look forward to many in the years to come!!!

Vacation 2010 - Charleston
Pryce, Luke, and I are halfway through our stay in Charleston, SC, for our vacation this year. We have had a GREAT time -- we've played on the beach a couple of days, strolled through downtown, and done a little shopping too! Pryce is such a little fish....he immediately wants down the minute we hit the sand, and runs straight for the ocean! The tent we just knew we needed hasn't been used at all, nor has the fan. Here are a few pictures of the trip so far....

July 4th

We spent the weekend with our great friends, Anna-Hayes, Brad, & Blaire Bruce, and Derrick, Sarah, and McClain Ellis on Pickwick Lake for the 4th. Pryce had a GREAT time on the boat & didn't even complain about that bulky life jacket! We rode, swam, snacked, and slept (mostly slept). It's always nice to catch up with the Bruce and Ellis family! Looking forward to next year (and hopefully some catching up in between)!

Tubes!

10+ ear infections within the last 9 months, and we went for tubes this morning!!! In fact, we were at the doctor's office on Saturday morning with another one, and got an antibiotic shot in hopes that we wouldn't have to put off the surgery this morning. Pryce was admitted at TC Thompson's Children's Hospital at 6:00 am this morning. The nurses brought toys in as soon as we were in a room...Pryce only wanted the remote (which also had the nurse button). We only called the nurse's desk once...thought it was a telephone (which is one of our favorite things right now). Dr Hunt was great -- he was back in our room within 20 minutes to let us know everything went well. Pryce had an IV (because we have some family history with MH....problems with anesthesia) in his foot. I was able to go back to recovery with him, and they had him ready to go in no time! We were back home by 9:00 am. He was a little cranky coming out of the anesthesia, but back to his old self by the time we were home! Praying the tubes do the trick & we don't have near the ear troubles!
